These terms apply when you use the Gezenti mobile app. Gezenti is developed and provided by Oğuz Han Kıdık as an individual; in these terms, that is “we”. When you continue on the sign-in screen, you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use Gezenti.

How we handle your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the KVKK notice. This is an English version; if it differs from the Turkish one, the Turkish version prevails.

What Gezenti is

Gezenti is a free app in which you collect the stickers of official albums by photographing real places. You earn badges and titles by completing albums. You can look through other people’s albums, follow them and like them.

  • Stickers, badges and titles have no monetary value. They can’t be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.
  • We choose the albums and the places. We may add albums, and we may change or remove albums, places, and the conditions for badges and titles.

Who can use Gezenti

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Gezenti.
  • If you’re under 18, use Gezenti with your parent’s or guardian’s knowledge.
  • If we closed your account because you broke these terms, you can’t open a new one without our permission.

Your account

  • You sign in to Gezenti with your Apple or Google account. You’re responsible for keeping those accounts secure and for what is done with your Gezenti account.
  • You can’t transfer your account to anyone else or let them use it.
  • You can change your username once. You can’t use a name or username that impersonates another person, organization or brand, or that is misleading or inappropriate. We may change names that break this rule.

Collecting stickers and verification

Only our server awards stickers, and it checks every capture. So:

  • You must have taken the photo yourself, really at the place. A photo you pick from your gallery must also be one you took, at that place.
  • It’s not allowed to use mock location apps, change a photo’s location or time data, use someone else’s photo, or try to get around verification in any other way.
  • If we find stickers, badges or titles collected by cheating, we may take them back and suspend or close the account.

Verification is automated and can sometimes be wrong. If you’d like to contest a rejected capture, write to us and a person will review it.

Your safety

  • Follow traffic rules, the place’s rules and the law when you go to places.
  • Don’t enter private property without permission, or closed or dangerous areas.
  • Don’t use Gezenti while driving.
  • Don’t disturb the people around you.

We don’t guarantee that a place in an album is always open, reachable or safe. Whether you go to a place, and how you behave there, is your decision and your responsibility.

Your content

The photos you share on Gezenti, your display name, your username and the notes you add to reports are your content; you keep the rights to them.

So that we can run Gezenti, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to your content. It covers:

  • storing and copying your content,
  • changing its size and format (for example, making a small preview copy),
  • running it through the automated check,
  • showing it to the people your profile privacy setting allows, and in Explore.

You can delete your photos from the app at any time. The license lasts while your content stays on Gezenti, and ends when you delete the content or your account. We won’t use your content outside Gezenti, for example in promotion, without asking you.

You must hold the rights to what you share, and it must not infringe anyone’s rights. If recognizable people are in your photo, respect their personality rights and privacy.

Community rules

We have zero tolerance for inappropriate content and for abuse of other users. These are not allowed:

  • nudity and sexual content;
  • violence, gore and disturbing images;
  • hate speech, discrimination and hate symbols;
  • harassment, threats and bullying;
  • photos and personal information that violate other people’s privacy;
  • any content that exploits children;
  • content that shows or encourages illegal activity;
  • impersonating others, spam and misleading content;
  • content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights;
  • trying to disrupt Gezenti or its servers, collect data with automated tools, or access other people’s accounts.

If you see a photo or profile that breaks these rules, tell us with Report in the app. You can block anyone who bothers you with Block.

Moderation and enforcement

  • Photos are checked automatically before others can see them. A person reviews photos the automated check isn’t sure about.
  • We review reports within 24 hours.
  • When we find something that breaks these terms, we may, without notice, hide or remove content, change a username, take back stickers, badges and titles, and suspend or close the account.
  • We report serious cases, such as child exploitation, to the competent authorities.

If you’d like to contest one of our decisions, write to us.

Gezenti’s rights

  • Gezenti’s name, app, design and albums, and the names and texts of its albums, badges and titles, belong to us or are used under license.
  • We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Gezenti personally, for non-commercial purposes.
  • Except where the law allows it, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or distribute the app.

Map and place data are the work of others:

  • Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors (under the ODbL); map images come from OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles.
  • Place data comes from Wikidata and OpenStreetMap.
  • Place photos come from Wikimedia Commons and other sources. Each photo’s owner and license are listed in the album’s Credits.

How we provide Gezenti

Gezenti is free and provided “as is”.

  • We don’t guarantee that it will work without interruption or errors, or that place data will always be accurate.
  • We may change features, pause Gezenti for a while, or shut it down altogether.
  • If we shut Gezenti down, we’ll tell you a reasonable time in advance.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:

  • the accuracy of information about places (their location, opening times, access);
  • harm you may suffer on the way to a place or while there;
  • other users’ content and behavior;
  • indirect damage and loss of profit.

This doesn’t limit our liability for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or any liability the law doesn’t allow us to limit. You are responsible for damage caused by your breach of these terms.

Ending your account

  • You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Delete account. The steps are on the Delete your account page.
  • We may close your account if you break these terms or if we shut Gezenti down.

What happens to your data after an account is closed is described in the Privacy Policy.

App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded Gezenti from Apple’s App Store, these also apply:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Gezenti and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Gezenti.
  • Claims about Gezenti (product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property infringement claims) are directed to us, not Apple.
  • You must also follow the App Store’s usage rules when you use Gezenti.
  • You confirm that you’re not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you’re not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded Gezenti from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply.

Changes

We may update these terms.

  • We announce significant changes in the app or on this page before they take effect.
  • If you keep using Gezenti after a change, you accept the new terms.
  • If you don’t accept them, you can delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

  • As a consumer, your rights under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 are not affected. In a dispute, you can apply to the consumer arbitration committee or the consumer court where you live.
  • For other disputes, the courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul have jurisdiction.
  • Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live are not affected.
